Financial Planning

Meld Financial approaches every client engagement from a planning perspective. We design and implement comprehensive financial plans. Developing a core understanding of our client’s circumstances forms the foundation of “Situational Investing”

The Planning Process

Financial Planning is the process of gathering, organizing, and then managing an individual’s resources to achieve their financial goals. Planning is a complicated and ongoing process, and requires work from both the planner and the client. First, we want to help you organize everything financial in your life, including what you own, owe, make, and spend. Second, we want to develop and manage strategies that will help to move you positively toward your long-term goals.

Even the most accurate financial plan does not remain accurate over the long-term; circumstances and goals change. At Meld Financial, we understand that reality. By embracing planning as an ongoing process, we will help you make sound financial decisions and understand the potential long-term impact of those decisions.

Our process involves the following basic steps:

1. Define the Relationship

Meld Financial’s initial objective is to explain our services and outline our responsibilities. We will discuss fees and define a length of time for the engagement.

2. Discovery

We start by getting to know you and your personal and financial goals. Together we gather and organize information about your assets, debts, income, spending, insurance, and more.

3. Analysis

We analyze your financial situation including your income and spending patterns, future expenses, saving and investing methods, taxes, insurance, and estate issues.

4. Recommendation

After a thorough review of your information, we present specific recommendations, discuss them in-depth, and help you make more informed financial decisions.

5. Implementation

Once a course of action is defined, we help you implement the changes. This may involve changes in investment allocations, insurance coverage, spending patterns, savings habits and more. We are there, every step of the way.

6. Monitor & Review

We work with you to monitor and update your plan. Regular meetings to review your plan helps ensure progress toward your goals and objectives.
